Nu läser: How should you store your perfume?

How should you store your perfume?
Do you keep your perfume in the bathroom? Move it immediately! 😵❌
To help your fragrance maintain its quality for as long as possible, it is important to think about how you store your perfumes. Let us go through the best ways to store your perfume ✨
The bathroom cabinet is one of the most common places to store perfume. Unfortunately, it is also one of the worst places for your fragrance. Bathrooms are humid environments with changing temperatures – conditions that should be avoided. Perfumes should be stored in a place where the temperature is stable and not higher than normal room temperature. Your perfume also does not enjoy humid environments 💧❌
Your perfume also does not want to see the sun ☀️ Sunlight breaks down components in the fragrance and affects the perfume’s longevity. The risk of storing your perfume in direct sunlight is that the quality may deteriorate. Over time, you may notice that the scent does not last as long on the skin or even that the fragrance changes completely. This is often referred to as the perfume going rancid. So avoid sunny places such as windowsills or shelves exposed to direct sunlight for large parts of the day!
Your perfume should also be stored upright! If the perfume is stored lying down, the liquid may come into direct contact with the bottle cap, which can allow more oxygen into the bottle. This speeds up the oxidation process of the perfume and may shorten the lifespan of your fragrance over time 🫧
So where is the best place to store your perfume? We would recommend one of the following:
✨ In a drawer
✨ In a wardrobe
✨ On your vanity table
✨ On a shelf that is not exposed to direct sunlight
In general, any place with normal room temperature or cooler, without humidity or direct sunlight, works perfectly!
